Brittany Patricio has been navigating the legal recruiting world for over a decade, first as an internal recruiter at top firms Latham & Watkins and Milbank and now as a Managing Director at Risepoint Search Partners. While at law firms, she gained a deep understanding of the legal market, working directly with partners across a wide-range of practices to find the perfect associate for their group. Switching to the search firm side wasn't something Brittany had planned, but when Karen and Katy came knocking with the chance to join Risepoint, she couldn't resist. Who could say no to growing a company with two powerhouse moms?

In November 2023, Brittany (barely) completed a half marathon, despite having only two 5Ks under her belt. She hasn't ventured out for a jog since that day.
Brittany has always prided herself on never having broken a bone, but recently a sprained ankle x-ray revealed a surprising twist: apparently, Brittany fractured a small bone "a long time ago."
In her spare time, and much to her husband’s dismay, Brittany moonlights as a DIY carpenter, turning her backyard into a sawdust-filled wonderland. Her latest masterpiece? A dining room table crafted from pure stubbornness and a refusal to settle for anything less than perfection.

Brittany’s workout obsession is hot sculpt yoga, and she has proudly completed 300 classes over the past two years. Recently, Brittany has switched to Solidcore, and it is swiftly becoming another favorite in her rotation.
Her husband is a director at a soccer club, and together they have two incredibly adorable yet incredibly rambunctious boys, along with a Shichon puppy named Sushi.

One of the aspects I love most about my job is the opportunity to help others find a place where they truly feel at home and can thrive. It’s a passion that extends into my personal life as well, as I’m always guiding friends and family through significant life decisions.
WHY ARE YOU A RECRUITER?
If I could change anything it would be to have the ability to fly, which, let’s be honest, is the same answer my six-year-old would give. With our family located in California, Dubai, and South Africa, it would make life so much easier. Being able to skip long flights and jet lag to just drop in for a family dinner would be amazing.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wake up in the fluffiest, cloud-like bed as the morning sun peeks through the window of our beach house on the Eastern Shore. An oversized, perfectly hot pumpkin spice latte (because yes, I fully embrace my basic side) is delivered to the ocean-view deck off our bedroom. I sip it in my cozy porch nook, soaking in the view, when my husband appears—our two perfectly behaved, already dressed, and miraculously well-fed children in tow—to say good morning.
We take a long, leisurely family walk down the beach to a little surf shack, where we have the best grilled fish tacos of our lives, and—against all odds—the boys remain calm and not feral for the entire meal. On the way back, we stumble upon a live band playing at a cabana and snag four chairs—close enough to enjoy the music, but not so close that we can still hear ourselves think. The kids play happily (again, shockingly, no fighting), and we make our way home just as the sun sets.
Without protest, the boys go to bed (a true miracle), and my husband and I settle in with a great glass of wine, binge a couple of episodes of our favorite show, and are tucked in by 9 p.m.—because, let’s be real, I’m basically a grandma, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
